One Step Closer to Virtual Reality

Posted on

Human beings have always steered along the lines of, if I can't see it, how can it be real, if I can't touch it, its probably just an illusion. We have always been fascinated with technology, so it should not be surprising that whenever something new comes on the market, we all rush like rats to the pied piper, not knowing why, just knowing that we must. New technology is exactly that, new, so it is always best to evaluate the performance before diving in yourself. There are a group of people scattered around the world known as the first responders, no, I am not talking about firemen, police or Emergency Medical Technicians, I am referring to the ones who must be the first to try something out.

The problem with this kind of individual, (and this is purely my opinion) is that they are also referred to the testers. They are given this additional title because they find the faults and kinks that the manufacturer may have missed before releasing it to the market. Because these first responders obviously enjoy what they day, it would be in the best interest of the manufacturers to offer these individuals these products at greatly reduced prices, (free in some cases) and let them use it until all the kinks are worked out. The world is full of products that make it to the market and are either duds, or they experience so many drawbacks that customers choose to stop using them.

How will you know if you are a first responder, that is easy, if you have a room, a basement, or a storage facility that is full of stuff that you do not use, chances are that you fit that criteria. For the other individuals that are looking with anticipation of the arrival of television in 3D, they should look no further, because it may have arrived. Take my advise though, don't go spending your hard earned money on this piece of equipment until the first responders have a go at it. All you first responders out there, hurry up, you are late, they world awaits your expertise.
