this is some of the greatest pieces of music! i had the benefit of playin it last year in high school band… well more like listen to it… bari sax doesnt really have much in the piece. lol still, i actually liked listening to it more than play my parts!

@oohdahloli7 Well it’s odd because I can be really picky but I actually want to be reminded that it is about 2000 human beings coming together and creating an almost-unity. I find it really moving.

Eric Whitacre is incredible! To direct without hearing a single sound, and hearing it all in ones head….that is just…extraordinary! I mean look at what came from that! 2,052 people from all over the world coming together in voice….its amazing!

I love this. Eric Whitacre is just so…genius. I keep hoping he might come to my university’s Contemporary Music Festival but I doubt that would every actually happen.

Somehow I love this version more than any drilled, professional choir. The unsync’d ‘sss’ syllables sound like the universe is aligned XDD Perfection can be imperfect.
