Eu sou um cidadão brasileiro e visitei Barcelona em julho/2011. Acredite, eu tive o maior respeito por Barcelona. Tentei ser o mais cordial possível. Aos 50 anos achei que precisava conhecer Barcelona, principalmente depois das transformações que a cidade passou após as Olimpíadas de 1992. Sinto que o pensamento dos cidadãos de Barcelona seja de um certo repúdio com turistas, principalmente dos latinos americanos. Se puder visitar o Brasil, verá que somos bastantes acolhedores!!!

For all those who are going to visit Barcelona, be sure you also visit the Palace of the Music, in catalan “Palau de la Música”, which is in the center (old town, more or less). I’m from Barcelona and can tell you this is one of my favourite places, and it will be also one of yours if you visit the architechture inside, it’s amazing! (in fact I think this building is patrimony of humanity from Unesco). Have a nice stay!!

@aasifnawaz I think they use Google Earth and you’ll want to use Google Sketchup to create the buildings.

To find ONE tourist that is friendly, respects the city as it was his own, respects the citizens and tries to speak some catalan or at least spanish, we have to deal with 20 bad-mannered, noisy and selfish tourists that come here only to party and to throw waste in the beach. That’s the sad reality we see everyday. A big change is needed or you will be finding rude people in any part of the city. Show some respect and behave like in your own city!!!

@megansalt . Totally agree. Lots of people here are saying citizens are very friendly people, other comments say we are rude people…. The firts sentece is clearly from tourists having visited only the centertown and designed-for-tourist parts of the city. The other is from tourists that tried other parts of the city, and obviously discovered that almost all real citizens (not barmans attending you) are very unhappy with the cheap tourism, which apart from beeing massive, is very disrespectful.

Barcelona doesn´t need more tourism; 8 million tourists a year is too many. It´s marginalizing and dispersing local economy, local citizens, local community and demolishing many historical buildings to construct hotels, souveneir shops and other services for tourists. As a foreigner who has lived in Barcelona for many years, I can say that the locals are not happy about this.

Great work, zillions of pixels! I find it OK with exception of Sagrada Familia, in the video it looks like the main nave is oriented NE – SW when it is actually oriented NW – SE. You should take into account that those two clusters of 4 towers each are just side façades. The main façade is yet to be build, you know.
